An Evening for Africa * Sister Fa Fights On

Since the start of her career, Piranha's Sister Fa has been committed to making the people of her country aware of her fight against Female Genital Cutting. Breaking more than just one taboo by raising her voice against this practice, she has created quite an uproar in Senegal by working alongside mainly foreign supporters such as the German actress Katja Riemann.

Last Monday Sister Fa raised her voice once again at "An Evening For Africa" .
UNICEF Germany and the Burda Medien Park Publishers wanted to use this years biggest event, the World Cup 2010, as a chance to have a closer look and raise awareness for successful activities and programs for children in Africa. International personalities and celebrities got together to advocate children's rights.

Sister Fa supported this event with an exclusive live performance of her song "Excision" together with Katja Riemann.
