Sister Fa appears in Ms. Magazine * Sister Fa article in Ms. Magazine

It is known to the public that Sister Fa supports women's equality in Africa and fights against acceptance of FGC (Female Genital Cutting). This subject and her engagement were published in several magazines, blogs and newspapers. Even her film "Sarabah" was rewarded with the "Golden Butterfly" at The "Movies That Matter" Festival in Den Haag this year.

And now Emily Musil Church published an article about Sister Fa on Ms. Magazine's blog. The "Ms. Magazine" was the first American magazine that dealt with the issue of gender equality and women's self-determination.

So, it isn't surprising that Sister Fa was chosen for an article that handles FGC in Africa. But it isn't only that subject that makes Sister Fa an interesting person for this magazine. As a female rapper she had to assert herself and establish her music in a very male-dominated music genre over years.
