JUBILEE Vol 3. features DJ Rita Ray of the Shrine Synchro System in London. A club and radio DJ who plays the global musical spectrum, Rita Ray in the 1990's revitalised the World Music scene in London with the Mambo Inn With Max Reinhardt she runs a string of innovative club events including the Shrine out of which came the Shrine Synchro System with which they tour all over Europe and Africa.
She creates soundscapes for theatre, programmes international music festivals and presents international events like the BBC Radio 3 Awards for World Music, WOMAD or the Festival in the Desert in Mali.
For GIRLS ALOUD, DJ Rita Ray selected the finest PIRANHA recording ladies from Berlin via Maputo and Cairo to London and New York including Anastacia Azevedo, Dulce, Ruth Yaakov, Sophie Solomon, Salwa Abou Greisha and Stella Chiweshe.
