Together with the man in the hat, her musical director Buddy Sacher, their new programm "Le Grand Ordinaire – Liedercollagen vom Reisen, Zaubern und Lieben" – and that family sense of honour depicted above certainly, too

Saturday 25 NOVEMBER – PIRANHA SPECIAL



Launched in Cabo Verde in April, Piranha-Arts project "LusAfro" brought 19 African, Afro-diasporic and German artists together for 5 days of collaborative exchanges, workshops and studio sessions. The second phase in July saw 16 artists travelling to Cologne and the Ruhr area for 4 concerts at "Odyssee – Musik der Metropolen" roadshow festival. Now, WDR Cosmo festival "Big up! Berlin" hosts the final party. Full line-up @ Cosmo

Sunday 26 NOVEMBER



Love songs from the Anatolian songbook – 2.0, in a manner of speaking. Traditional melodies in ambitious contemporary arrangements – Asik Duo, Turkish / German singer Defne Sahin and Israeli piano player Guy Mintus carry the minnesongs from Asia Minor into the next generation

That's WOMEX founding director Scary Bloke on the strings to the left (Ben Mandelson), together with his eternal cohort and co-proto WOMEXICAN Ginger Bloke on the strings to the right (Lu Edmonds), the late great Baby Bloke on the keys (Sir Ian McLagan), Posh Bloke on bass (Simon Edwards), Sporty Bloke on drums (Martyn Barker) and Badly drawn Bloke takin' the lead – Billy Bragg. This one's a solo tour – so it's rather gonna be something like this, probably:

That was at the entrance to his last chapter – Phil Spector's mug shot when he went to prison for second degree murder in 2009. 51 years earlier he had embarked on a career paralleled by few in popular music – a career, internationally acclaimed record producer Victor Van Vugt and singer Emma Elisabeth want to pay tribute to with the first installment of their new monthly tribute parties to the great musical artists of the last 60 years @ Marie Antoinette. A house band, special guests – this time including Sophie Hunger!, among others – off "The Fan Club" goes!
