Is There a Future for World Music Albums? - WOMEX16 Panel Discussion Review

One of the conferences with a considerable success that took place in this year's WOMEX in Santiago de Compostela, was indisputably the one that had the Future of the World Music Album as its main topic.

Chaired by Patrick Lee-Thorp (Templit Entertainment Ltd.) and accompanied by Scott Cohen (The Orchard), Carolina Vallejo (One World), Ninder Johal (Nachural Records), the session included not only various opinions on the subject among the speakers but also, was followed by a very lively discussion between the panel members and the audience.

After gathering all the impressions from this vibrant session, Patrick Lee-Thorp in his review concludes: "The album is dead, long live the world music album!"
