Piranha Out and About * A look inside Piranha's Licensing Department

Here's an overview of the flurry of activity taking place in the licensing corner of Piranha's pool:
We've taken the plunge into the audio book market, first with Lauscherlounge's series "DODO", proud recipient of an "Audio Book of the Month" award ("Hörspiel des Monats") and again with Terzio Verlag's "Capito! Was prophezeite Josef dem Pharao?". Piranha songs are gracing the soundtracks of several recent films such as "Oury Jalloh", the harrowing, true story of an asylum seeker found burned to death in a police cell in Dessau which was awarded a "German Human Rights Prize" ("Deutschen Menschenrechtspreis"); “Train of Freedom” an official selection for several well-known festivals such as the Zagreb Film Festival and "Films de Femmes" in Paris; the documentary "Water First: Reaching the Millennium Development Goals"; "Destere" which is out now in Turkey and the award-winning, Argentinian film “Leonera”. The Piranha presence can be felt on numerous recent compilations via our partners Bear Family Records, Cartell Music, Doublemoon Records, Demon Music Group, Putumayo, Warner Music and World Music Network, just to name a few, while Vibration and Mixed Magazines are also now featuring our tracks. In various back bedrooms and sleek studios, various DJs are at this moment remixing Piranha material into their own work. And beyond the music and media biz, Piranha also licenses for good causes, such as for Prof. Dr. Horst Köhler's "Step 21- Initiative for Tolerance and Responsibility"
