Launched in 1998, "Lange Buchnacht in der Oranienstraße" was a project of support for Kreuzberg 36 – a neighbourhood rapidly going down at the time. 20 years on, the opposite is the case with Kreuzberg up to the point that some of "Buchnacht"'s participants are now under pressure to be driven from their places by heavy gentrification. Time to say Goodbye for "Lange Buchnacht in der Oranienstraße" – last edition:

Since bonding as Techno Twin Cities in the nineties, it has become obvious that beyond the fact that people here and there like groovin' to the same beats, Detroit and Berlin also share some ecomic, urbanistic and societal issues. "Detroit – Berlin: One Circle" celebrates both the musical exchange – here's some Eddie "Flashin'" Fowlkes, featured @ the "Club Night" @ Saturday 2 JUNE – and the artistic practice in other fields, and discusses urban policy both here and abroad in a variety of formats of all kinds
