The white headscarfed women of Bouchra Ouizguen / Compagnie O's "Corbeaux" – first silently invading public spaces, then erupting as sculptures – for their Berlin performance are part of HAU's 3 day festival "Claiming common Spaces" – outspokenly agitating people to do absolutely hold on to public space in times of rapid urban transformation

"48 h Neukölln"'s 20th edition once again presents the the district's independent culture and arts over 3 fully packed days of performances and special events. Among the plethora of participants is cinema Wolf with "Homo Sapiens" – a meditation on abandoned places of civilization, see trailer above – accompanied by live music ( Fri 22 JUNE + Sat 23 JUNE ) and 2 installations by Wolf school initiative "Was ist Kino?" on how students perceive Neukölln, both in real life and thought ( Sun 24 JUNE ); admission to all 3 events free

After the opening concert with a whole bunch of Kreuzberg Musicians who appeared in the magazine's pages over the years on Friday 22 JUNE, it's celebrating the first 200 editions of Kreuzberger Chronik @ FHXB Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg Museum for the next two months – including # 92, which featured a certain über piranha, among others

Ferne Pearlstein's documentary "The last Laugh" gives a good impression the wide range of sensitivities and emotions dealt with @ "24. Jewish Film Festival Berlin & Brandenburg 2018" – 12 days brimming with all kinds of movies about Jewish life. Feature films, documentaries, a Hedy Lamarr homage - and "Itzhak", a brand new documentary about Itzhak Perlman, his wife and their love story, gracing the opening gala @ Hans Otto Theater Potsdam

"American Utopia" – with hirst solo album in 14 years, David Byrne is on top of his game as usual! The special choreography displayed @ the "Late Show" was applied to the entire live programme – including some highlights from the infectious Talking Heads repertoire. Support – Yasmine Hamdan

And while the bycicle boom changes cycling in Berlin by the minute – dedicated cyclist Byrne can tell us something about life on the saddle, too
