Rapping for Equality - Sister Fa continues to sing against opression

Piranha Recording Artist Sister Fa is currently collaborating on XX, a project bringing girls and young women together to encourage discussion on the causes of discrimination, racism and sexism.

XX stands for the female chromosome and at the same time refers to the variable used by famous activists, such as Malcom X, to symbolize their last names which were removed during times of slavery.

Sister Fa, known for her activism against Female Genital mutilation, collaborates with the girl centers MÄDEA / Stiftung SPI (Wedding) and Schilleria (Neukölln), besides the rappers Mindj Panther and Valeria Djurhous. The project is funded by the Berliner Projekfonds Kulturelle Bildung and Fonds Soziokultur.
