Berlin's own sonic space explorers, the Cosmonautix, have just landed from their journeys to the outer reaches of Slavic musical madness. What have they brought back? "Energija", a pumping package of what they call "Russian Balalaika Speedfolk". The homecoming welcome party included pop specialists at the Initiative Musik, which has has officially given its stamp of approval to our explorers' debut album.
Jurij Gagarin would be proud. To enhance the head-n-hip rush, the band added their own special rocket juice in the studio. Plus, as a surprise, they invited singer Shura Lipovsky from the Netherlands into their spaceship to sing with them on the Yiddish song "Rabejnu Tam".
