To be able to build the Aswan High Dam, in 1964 50.000 Nubians from 33 villages got relocated to Kom Ombo, mostly – resulting in a different way of life altogether. As part of "Black History Month 2018", "Beyond Spring – African Film Series: Voyage to Nubia / Into the Sun – Lyrics of the Nubian Experience of Migration" takes a look into the Nubian migration experience with a couple of short films and a lecture about the experiences reflection in Nubian songs
