We first saw Emicida as part of the WOMEX 2015 Official Selection last autumn in Budapest.

Being rather an unusual type for the current Brazilian Hip Hop scene, Emicida has conquered Brazil with his judicious and poetic lyrics. His D.I.Y approach to music and online presence made him an entirely self-distributed artist in Brazil and a fixture on the city's underground scene. With many successful Eps and mixtapes under his belt, Emicida is now breaking internationally with his world tour, presenting his new album "About kids, brain, nightmares and homework ...".
